FISH EGG FRIDAY!!!!!!

Okay so I have been wanting to post this all week, but it was meant to be that I didn't. I always check out my favorite nail polish blogger Polishaholic and she had a post about Ciate sent out Cease & Desist letters to bloggers for their version of "caviar nails". This is because they are applying to trademark the term. Excuse me? I have seen people blogging and on youtube doing diy "caviar" I mean fish egg nails for quite a while now.

Well here is a quick "how to": Polish nails like normal. One at a time do one more coat then dip your nail to a container of microbeads. The microbeads can be bought at your local craft store, and are in the scrapbooking area. When I was finished I took a top coat and sort of dropped it on the nail then brushed gently.

Because of the length of my friend, Sierra's, nails she took them off the next day because she said the beads were heavy. But here is my contribution to FISH EGG FRIDAY my "VERSACE  INSPIRED FISH EGG MANICURE"!

Isa's Everday Make Up Look

So last night my classmate and make extraordinaire, Isabel, sent me some picks and information on an every day make up look using (mostly) drug store items.
First, she started with eye concealer called Glam of Glaze. Using her finger she made a triangle from the inner edge of the bottom of the eye down. Then back up to the temporal lobe area and patted until blended.

Next is foundation. Isa used Super Stain by Maybeline  and applied with  stippling brush.

After that is Victoria's Secret Duo Bronzer. She used  this on the contour of her cheeks and extended around her eyes in a "V" shape, the point of the "V" being the temples. This was also used around the jaw bone.

Up next is eyeshadow. Black Radiance Duo. The lighter color is Desire ( which is used for the highlight) and the darker color is Fierce. Both colors are a creamy texture.

The eyeshadow brush Isabel used Essence of Beauty. She used the highlight color for the inner corner of her lids and extended to the brow bone and used the darker color mid lid and carefully blended.

Last for the eyes is Rimmel London brown eyeliner used on both the top and bottom of her eye, but smudged a little on the bottom to set. Then a little Rimmel London mascara.

To finish off this look EOS Lip Moister was used. Isa says it is important to exfoliate and moisturize your lips, and then she used a Rimmel London nude lipstick.
Here is the lovely Isabel working her everyday makeup look!! Watch out for more fun looks from this makeup dynamo!!

SinfulColors Nail Polish

SinfulColors nail polish is a new brand to me. After hearing about the price ($1.99) and seeing some swatches on other pages I decided to give this brand a try. I picked up 5 colors (from my local Walgreens): Lets Meet, Mint Apple, Gorgeous, Let Me Go, and San Fransisco. I didn't swatch San Fransisco because one of my "models" did not have a chance to put it on and take a picture, so I will show that color later.
First up is Lets Meet. It's a shimmery yellow that most people who saw it called "honey mustard". It took three coats to achieve  the opaque color I wanted, but if you want to go for a more sheer look two coats work also.

The next color is Mint Apple. Its is a fun mint green that I think is perfect for spring and summer and is two coats it this picture.

Next up is Gorgeous. Its blue green that's more on the green side. Two easy coats and I loved how it looked.

Last is Let Me Go. I won't say this color disappointed me, but I will say it surprised me. In the bottle it is this beautiful purple that I just knew was going to be opaque with a hint of blue. In reality it is a very sheer light purple. This picture is three coats and so pretty.

Overall I like this brand and will purchase more. If you like these colors go check them out at your local Walgreens.
